Details: Oman - One Assistant Director of Studies needed for the British Training Institute (part of CfBT) in Muscat. Opportunity to work as part of a friendly and committed team of professionals in the most attractive part of the Middle East.

Details: CfBT (Centre for British Teachers) is an internationally-recognised educational trust based in UK, which has been operating in Oman for over 20 years.

CfBT has had an ELT centre, the British Training Institute, in Muscat for five years. Besides General English, the BTI offers Young Learners, EAP, ESP and teacher training courses to the public and private sectors.

We are looking to recruit a committed professional able to teach a variety of levels, but with a particular interest in and experience of both Young Learners and Teacher Training (Adults and YLs), to join our team at the BTI.

Oman is generally considered to be the most attractive and interesting country work location in the Gulf. There are ample opportunities for outdoor sports such as scuba diving, mountain walking and spectacular off-road driving.

There are few safer countries in the world than Oman. The general atmosphere is extremely relaxed, friendly and welcoming to other cultures. The cost-of-living is low compared to other countries in the region and teachers find that they can live and work comfortably in Muscat.

Qualifications and experience:
1. Native English speaker
2. Undergraduate degree
3. English language teaching qualification (preferably DELTA or equivalent)
4. Minimum 5 years' post-initial TEFL qualification teaching experience
5. Experience of managing the delivery of a range of English language programmes is essential
6. Experience of working overseas

Remuneration:
A remuneration package, which allows for a comfortable standard of living in the prevailing conditions in Oman, includes:
1. Tax-free salary (subject to status)
2. Completion-of-contract gratuity
3. Paid holiday of 30 working days
4. Return economy airfare from/to country of residence
5. Accommodation allowance and travel allowance
6. Medical insurance
Initial one-year contract, renewable by mutual agreement
