Responsibilities include genset service, repair and installation. This position involves frequent customer contact throughout the process of installing, servicing, troubleshooting and completing repairs in the field. Technician will provide mechanical and electrical repair of power generation systems in the 5 - 2000 kW range. He will effectively service, diagnose, repair and adjust and recondition engines, engine systems, alternators and controllers. Tasks: • To do repair and service of engine • To do repair of alternator • To do repair of control panel • To do electrical repair and wiring • To install, test and commission generating sets.Profile • Graduate of related Technical/ Vocational course • Good English communications skills • Flexible, driven and systematic at work. • Minimum of 5 years of hands on experience • Detailed knowledge of diesel engines, specifically Cummins and Perkins brands • Detailed knowledge of alternators, specifically Marathon Electric, Stamford and Leroy-Somer brands • Detailed knowledge of control schematics and wiring diagrams to troubleshoot and repair genset • Ability to work after hours service calls. Education Technical Certification Necessary Requirements: • Transferable residence visa • Valid Qatari / GCC driving license.
