Description: Sales and Marketing Manager:
• Oversees and manages the entire product line cycle of the newspaper from strategic planning to tactical activities.
• Provides timely feedback to the Board of Directors regarding the Monthly Sales Performance of the department.
• Demonstrates technical sales and marketing skills and company product knowledge;
• Develops an Annual Marketing Plan in conjunction with the Sales Department. This should detail the year’s activity to meet the agreed company objectives.
• Budget Management-Delivers all marketing activity within the agreed budget;
• Conducts market research in order to identify market requirements for current and future development.
• Directs the distribution of the newspaper to the customer; Maintains contact with dealers, distributors and potential clients;
• Develops pricing strategies to help maximize profits and market share while ensuring that the company’s customers are satisfied;
• Develops and implements a company-wide plan to push the newspaper and works with all departments for its execution;
• Assigns sales territories, sets sales goals, and establishes training programs for the organization’s Sales Executives;
• Analyzes sales statistics gathered by his staffs to determine sales potential and inventory requirements and to monitor customers' preferences to maximize profits;
• Advises the Sales Executives on ways to improve their sales performance and assists them in preparation of proposals and presentations.
• Conducts one-on-one review with all Sales Executives to build more effective communications, to understand training and development needs, and to provide insight for the improvement of Sales Executive’s sales and activity performance.
• Builds trust, value others, communicate effectively, drives execution, foster innovation, focuses on delivery to customers, collaborates with others, solves problems creatively and demonstrates high integrity;
• Maintains professional internal and external relationships that meet company core values.
• Proactively establishes and maintains effective working team relationships with all support departments.
Job Specifications:
• Minimum of 5 years sales and marketing experience in the Newspaper or Advertising Industry;
• Bahraini National or any Arabic candidate preferred;
• Master’s Degree;
• Computer savvy;
• Excellent English and Arabic writing, communicating, reporting and speaking skills;
• Extensive experience in developing, maintaining and delivering marketing strategies to meet the company’s objectives;
• Strong understanding of Bahrain market dynamics and requirements.
• Proven leadership and ability to drive his sales team.
