Work is checked upon completion of each assignment. • Routine contacts with Maintenance and Operations personnel up to Supervisor level, during installation work to receive information on specific requirements. Main Accountabilities: 1. To receive instructions and work orders from Supervisor, determines lifting requirements need for internal and external scaffolding on buildings, structures, inside heaters and vessels and arranges for all required materials, tools and equipment in accordance with specific needs. This includes directing laborers in physical erection of scaffolding, checking all erected scaffolds to ensure that all safety aspects have been taken care of before handing over for use by maintenance personnel. 4. To transfer scaffolding and associated equipment from the work site and returns equipments to rigging loft on completion of work. Maintains all scaffolding tubes, frames, clips, boards and ladders in a safe and sound condition. Undertakes rigging of all lifts ensuring correct rigging practice and safety of lifts at all times. Ensures that faulty scaffolding equipment is either repaired or disposed of to avoid possible hazards. 5. To prepare all lifting tackle of heavy-duty installation work. Includes rigging and operating pull lifts, chain blocks, rope blocks, pneumatic/electric winches, re-rigging cranes and hoist as required.
