Director Patient Support Services – Cleveland Clinic - Abu Dhabi - United Arab Emirates

This position is responsible for planning and organizing all functional work groups in a way that provides high efficiency and quality service standards to patients and their families at CCAD.

Primary Responsibilities:
-Strives to continually improve patient support services through appropriate planning, objective setting and plan implementation
-Ensures that goals are met by objective data gathering techniques, including patient satisfaction, expense reports, productivity measures and internal department checks
-Manages and leads staff and total quality improvement policies and practices
-Participates in developing department operating budgets and monitoring budget variances
-Facilitates and ensures that total quality improvement principles are utilized to achieve goals of high quality service, customer satisfaction and department efficiency
-Supports the community by participating in CCAD sponsored events and programs
-Maintains a safe facility that meets the requirements of all health and safety regulatory standards
-Ensures that utility systems are maintained, tested and inspected

Skills
-Minimum of ten to twelve (10-12) years experience in hospital operations is required
-Minimum of five to seven (5-7) years managerial experience is required
-Knowledge of all regulatory and accrediting body standards
-Strong leadership skills
-Proficient in the use of PCs, spreadsheets and other software applications
-Strong oral and written communication skills
-Ability to speak and write in English is required
-Ability to speak and write in both English and Arabic is preferred
-Health care industry experience is preferred
-Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Health Care Administration, or related field, is required
-Master’s degree in Business Administration or Health Care Administration, or related field, is preferred
