Job Description The Ship Broker shall be responsible, but not limited to, the following:
3.1 Identifies business opportunities in the Offshore Chartering sector.
3.2 Develops and maintains relationship with vessel users and owners.
3.3 Concludes contracts for the chartering of Offshore Vessels.
3.4 Negotiates the hire/price together with the contractual terms and conditions and finalizes details of the contract.
3.5 Facilitates the flow of operational information to ensure effective execution of contracts.
3.6 Regularly provides market intelligence and research to our offshore clients.
3.7 Maintains excellent relationship with all stakeholders of the business.
3.8 Maintains positive cash flow within the business unit.

Profile 4.1 Bachelor’s degree and Membership of The Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers or equivalent combination of experience and education.
4.2 With minimum of 2 years ship broking or chartering experience preferably within the offshore marine sector.
4.3 Has in depth knowledge of ship broking and chartering practices.
4.4 Has a detailed working knowledge of standard forms of contract used in the Offshore Chartering sector.
4.5 Knowledge of Offshore vessel operations would be advantageous.
4.6 Candidates with offshore vessel operations background who can demonstrate the required commercial aptitude will be preferred.
4.7 Must be well organized and demonstrate attention to detail.
4.8 Must be self motivated and able to work under pressure.
4.9 Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
4.10 Strong interpersonal and communication skills with good command of the English language (written/ spoken).
4.11 Task oriented and with ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple activities
