Provides direct secretarial support to Human Resources Manager and other staff members as required; maintains calendar for the Manager; makes meeting arrangements and prepares agendas; prepares wide range of correspondence; reviews incoming mail and routes according to functions Responds to inquiries from the public, employees, other departments, and outside agencies; provides information regarding department policies and procedures to individual requesting or requiring such information. Composes, types and distributes documents such as disciplinary actions, correspondence with unions, agenda items, Human Resources Directives, and budgets; prepares reports and maintains records per established procedures. Establishes and maintains files on departmental activities; researches files to obtain information for staff, prepare reports and complete other work activities. Makes travel arrangements and coordinates payment and reimbursement of travel expenses. May assist professional and technical staff in carrying out HR Functions. May attend staff meetings and take minutes. May represent the Human Resources Manager at meetings.
