Native English Teachers-Sanaa-Yemen

The Yemen College of Middle Eastern Studies is seeking qualified applicants for teaching English as a foreign language to Yemeni students. Teaching hours are between four to six hours a day, with additional hours for class preparation and grading homework. The English institute has a set curriculum which new teachers will be orientated and follow in classrooms.
Teaching positions will be considered either full-time teachers or work-study. Applicants should indicate in their interest in employment. Full-time teachers will be paid a full monthly salary, and work-study teachers will be compensated with housing, Arabic lessons, opportunities to use YCMES' cultural activities and trips, and a monthly salary.
Compensation is commensurate upon qualifications, experience, and number of teaching hours.

International relocation/travel is not covered. Applicants should send their resume/CV and cover letter to: employment@ycmes.org with English Teaching Position as the subject. Applicants will be considered on a rolling basis, starting now sooner than October 2008. Length of contract will be a minimum of one (1) year.

*Applicants who do not have certification for teaching English as a Foreign Language and/or previous English teaching will not be offered a contract prior to arrival in Yemen. These applicants must successfully complete an interview and demonstration lessons to students in-country.
