Job Description To create the production plan for all shop floor jobs with optimum utilization of man, material and machine so as to achieve the target on time. To prepare and release to the shop floor, all documentation required, such as Process flow sheets, etc., for production planning and control. To incorporate all relevant information into the Master production schedule upon receipt of Job order and estimate details.
To closely route and monitor manufacturing activities, analyze for variance in ting actual versus allotted, analyze the progress reports indicating the status of various jobs on the shop floor, constantly update the master Production schedule and subordinate schedules and to generate reports on progress verses planned and take necessary actions as needed.
To collect Job completion information and to keep the job costing updated. To initiate action to organize material availability upon receiving designs and bill of material from design department. Investigate and identify the excess machine time available, possibilities of manufacturing process considering the plant, manufacturing equipment, cost, type of equipment to be used, availability of new equipment, probable selling price, and general utility and industry specifications. To provide necessary inputs towards the estimation for the Marketing department. To coordinate and discuss the concept and complexities with design and production team; to incorporate the users’ feed back and upgrade the process for continual improvement.
To impart training/engineering support and inputs as needed to all shop floor employees.
To ensure that all records and documents are up to date true and correct and have full traceability at all times. To ensure that all processes, procedures and activities meet and match those as laid down under company ISO and management procedures. To ensure that the safety and security of all personnel and facilities are kept paramount at all times. To ensure that all company operational and ethical practices and policies are adhered to at all times. To take part in any company operations, activities or functions as they may be called upon to do in representing or promoting the company.
Profile: Profile Graduate/ Post Diploma in Engineering.
Special Trainings: CAD / CAM software such as Auto Cad and Pro E Type.
Computer Skills: MS Office and Symix.
Must know English.
Should have knowledge of Machining operations, machine ability of different metals, Heattreatment processes, cutting tools and their features, Press Tools, Jigs and Fixtures, gauges etc. Knowledge of Electrode design for EDM operations. Planning skills.
