Control/Instrument Engineer-Brunel Energy-Abu Dhabi - United Arab Emirates

Purpose: Provide technical support, under the supervision of Senior Engineer, covering all aspects of engineering activities in his discipline for a variety of works. Principal Accountabilities: 1.Assist the Senior Engineer in defining the technical requirements and in the performance of Contractors for the assigned works. 2.Participates in the site surveys of existing facilities to establish and identify the actual requirements. 3.Assist the senior Engineer in monitoring and reviewing engineering design carried out by Consultant/Engineering Companies including feasibility, conceptual, basic and detailed engineering. 4.Coordinate with other engineers during the development of the works, to ensure conformity of engineering with user’s requirements. 5.Prepare technical documents including data sheets and requirements for material, testing and requisitions. 6.Carry out basic technical assessment of bid documents for services and material required for the works. Participate in the clarification meetings with Contractors and Vendors to ensure compliance with technical specifications & requirements. Assist the Senior Engineer in the provision of Technical Evaluation and appraisal reports. 7.Review the updated technical drawings for the installations and ensures conformity of the as-built status with the Design and technical requirements. 8.Assist the Senior Engineer in the development and updating of the cost estimates and schedules for the works. 9.Assist the Senior Engineer in the provision of technical support on all engineering aspects arising in his discipline during the construction phase of projects.

Profile 1. B.Sc. in Engineering/Systems Engineering. 2. 8 years experience in Oil or related industry of which at least 5 years should be in design of Electronic, Hydraulic and Pneumatic Control Systems, in addition to in-depth knowledge of field instrumentation, DCS and PLC systems (specifically Honeywell TDC 2000/3000 and Modicon & Allen Bradley PLCs). 3. Good knowledge of International Standards and Codes in his own field and general knowledge of other disciplines.
