Project Manager - Human Rights - Bahrain

The office of the United Nations Development Programme in the Kingdom of Bahrain is inviting applications for the following vacancy:

Project Manager - Human Rights
Candidate Must Have:
• Degree in, Project Management, Development Management, Political Science, International Relations, Human Rights or Law.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in Management and Development, particularly Project Management and a command in accounting.
* Knowledge of Human Rights issues and legal subjects is an advantage. Experience in design, monitoring and evaluation of development projects is an added value.

Main Responsibilities:
• The Project Manager should provide support and assistance to implementing, monitoring, evaluating and reporting on the National Action Plan.
• Assume operational management of the project in consistency with the project document
• Prepare annual and detailed quarterly work plans and discuses drafts with UNDP and Implementing Partner.
• Act on behalf of the Executing Agency in preparing and adjusting commitments and expenditures and based on level of given authorization, affects project financial transactions.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly technical reports of progress on project.
• Prepare Annual Project Reports (APRs), Terminal Report (TPR), Final Financial Report at the end of the project.
• Prepare technical, policy and briefing papers.
