Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (Fire Fighting and Plumbing) - Saudi Arabia

Job Description To design and coordinate engineering systems and integrate them into the project to achieve their intended purpose seamlessly.
• Develops exceptional concept designs which reflects innovative, creative thinking while at the same time, meeting the client's brief and agreed building budget, and are compliant with the relevant statutory regulations.
• Manages the development of the approved concept design into a functional and efficient schematic arrangement that is effectively coordinated with the other disciplines such as Architecture, Engineering, & Quantity Surveying.
• Effectively analysis the technical aspects of the design to ascertain the implecations of design decisions relatives to the use of modern technologies.
• Facilitates the development of the production team structure, size and composition and a project time schedule in collaboration with the Project Manager.
• Attends all design meetings and other meetings with various parties (clients, suppliers, statutory authorities, other disciplines, site meetings) to clarify and/or confirm requirements, obtain information and ensure that all facets of the project are being correctly progressed.
• Has a thorough knowledge of materials and installation techniques and can specify the use of appropriate materials to suit the design requirements and the building budget.

Desired Candidate's Profile
Profile Skills
• Minimum 10 years experience in an Engineering or multi-disciplinary practice with proven experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified above.
• Should have strong Fire Fighting / Plumbing background.
• Professional Registration in the country of origin, Kuwait Society of Engineers is preferred.
• Advanced technical writing and communication skills and fluency in the English language. Knowledge of the Arabic language would be an added advantage.

Education
B.Sc/Eng in Mechanical/Environmental/Building Services Engineering. Masters degree or LEED preferred
