Research Assistant Cellular - Molecular Biology - Arabian Gulf University - Bahrain

Applications are invited for the post of full time research assistant/technician. The candidate must have expertise in cell/tissue culture, immunohistochemistry, quantitative RT-PCR, immunoprecipitation, Western blotting. Previous experience in cell transfection and expression of recombinant proteins in mammalian cells, and cell sorting and phenotyping by immunofluorescence and FACS analysis, and handling statistical packages (SPSS, Excel, SAS) will be advantageous.


Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess:
1) Bachelor/Master degree or equivalent in biochemistry, cell biology, or related field.
2) Past experience in cell culture, and cellular/molecular biology.
3) The ability to carry out independent scientific research with minimal supervision, and to be highly organized.
