Job Description: We are working with our leading retail outfit based in Egypt. They are looking for Area Manager with around 5 - 10 years experience. Area Manager is responsible for activities related to store like admin and other shop related issues to be handled on priority basis so as to ensure the smooth functioning of retail operations. Assist the Retail Manager in his day to day activities. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: Maintaining store standards Inventory Management. Product related responsibilities. Renovation/ new stores MAINTAINING STORE STANDARDS To visit the store as per the plan decided at the beginning of the month in conjunction with other departments and discussion with the retail manager. Review store for general housekeeping, purchase, repairs, replacement of any store assets. Undertake detailed implementation of merchandising plan for stores as per plannogramming. Review stores as per standard check-list for record books, collectables, documentation related to store operations. Review of staff for a complete customer service standards, staff discipline and motivation. Review of Store Manager for their managerial skills, planning, timeliness, INVENTORY MANAGEMENT Ensure that the documentation is as per the standard practice. Ensure no shortages / excess in physical or system. All defective / damages should be cleared as per the standard norms/ Stock checks should be carried out with the inventory controller from time to time. All variances are answerable and should be accounted from time to time. Ensure that aging stocks are within the desired standard norms at all times. Consolidation of stocks, price revisions, promotions need to be initiated from time to time with regard to aging stocks. PRODUCT RELATED RESPONSIBILITY Coordinate with the department heads for pricing and ensure that it is completed within 24 hours for approval and 48 hours for arrival to stores. Ensure that the margins at met as per plan for each departments. Prepare and propose offers, schemes and special initiatives for increasing overall profitability of the territory. Review Brand-wise and supplier wise performance for the territory and report as per the standard format. Check for damages or discrepancies as per the standard format. RENOVATION / NEW STORES Ensure that the projects are handled with complete responsibility as per the laid out plans. Identify, negotiate and monitor work with contractors. Site supervision Coordinate with retail team staff for initial set up. Candidate Must know to speak Arabic language.
