Job Description: Design electrical systems and prepares drawings and layout for Hospital wide projects. Provides on-site construction supervision.
Desired Candidate's Profile: Profile Communicates with Hospital Departments at various levels to discuss and identify needs and requirements. Designs and/or supervises the design of a variety of electrical systems. Writes technical specifications and Bill of Quantities. Provides cost estimation of projects. Reviews and evaluates electrical design drawings and specifications prepared by other engineers. Supervises on-site construction testing of electrical systems performed by the contractor and provides Manager with detailed test reports. Provides construction progress reports and punch list to Project Managers and Manager. Reviews contract change orders and monthly claims for payment. Ensures electrical safety requirements during construction and issues notices of violation where unsafe conditions exist then conducts follow up inspections. Participates in self and other’s education, training and development, as applicable. Follows all Hospital and related Policies and Procedures. Performs other related duties as assigned. Bachelors’ degree in Electrical Engineering. Fluency in English, both written and oral is required. Six (6) years, with a Bachelor’s degree, including a proven record in the design and construction supervision of electrical systems in new and existing buildings in a large health care facility setting. Knowledgeable of US codes and standards including NFPA/NEC. Skilled in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Primavera and/or Microsoft Projects and engineering calculation software. Experience 6 - 10 years.
