Plumber - US Embassy - Kuwait

The incumbent of this position serves as a Plumber in the Facilities Management Section. As such, the plumber is responsible for all repair and installations associated with his trade. The plumber repairs and/or installs bath fixtures, boilers, water lines, pumps, water heaters and water fountains. Hr must be adept at pipefitting. He provides technical designs for plumbing installations.

Duties include:
- Repairs and installs plumbing fixtures in the Embassy, SDH compounds and also Embassy’ short term leased houses.
- Performs preventive maintains as necessary.
- Provides technical design for plumbing installations.
- Performs all such plumbing journeyman tasks as required.
- Other tasks as directed by the Facility Manager and or/Maintenance Supervisor.

1. Completion of high school education. Completion of plumbing vocational school with a diploma.
2. Two to three years of journeyman level experience in the field of plumbing.
3. Level III in English. Level I in Arabic.
4. Must be familiar with the host country language, customs, rules, and regulations.
5. Knowledge of internal USG security or management policies and knowledge of blue prints and safety procedures.
6. Must have a valid Kuwaiti driver’s license.
7. Skill in use of various plumbing tools.
