Technician Service Desk - Oman Air - Oman

Educational Qualifications   
Diploma in Computer technology.
    Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.
    Ability to install, configure and maintain personal computers, networks, and related hardware and software.
    Knowledge of computer and/or network security systems, applications, procedures, and techniques.
    Ability to identify and resolve computer system malfunctions and operational problems.

Experience Required    
3 years of experience in IT / telecommunications industry
Job Location     Muscat

    Maintain all telephone systems, data and voice networks ensuring optimisation and effective utilisation of existing resources.
    Plan and set up LAN and telecom network for new office locations, liaise with airport authorities at each location for approval and ensure proper search area maps are released for further reference.
    Supervise to manage and ensure that all IT continuity activities based on the defined continuity framework and provide support to all departments/ outstations with LAN/WAN technical support.
    Manages all phases of project development to ensure user satisfaction, project continuity and internal consistency;
    Establishes design criteria based on design relevancy/objective and practicality and prepare budget, correspondence relating to telecommunications systems operation and maintenance problems.
    Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless IT service to the requesting departments.
    Oversee any technical issues related to telecommunication throughout the organisation, attend to and rectify technical malfunctioning and ensure that uninterrupted internet access is available at all the time for passengers.
