Ground Dispatcher - dnata - Dubai - United Arab Emirates

To plan, co-ordinate and control the activities and resources of the numerous ground services providers, who are involved in aircraft turnarounds at Dubai airport with the objective of –

· Ensuring a consistently high standard of service to the airline customer, and achieving set standards for on-time departures.
Ensure that a safe and on-time departure is assured whilst optimizing aircraft space utilization and thus the commercial payload uplifted.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Dispatch

Accountable for the punctuality of all assigned flights. Consistently ensure achievement of the standard for on-time departures.

Operates aircraft passenger loading bridges on both arriving and departing flights, ensuring that safety and operational procedures are followed at all times, in order to safeguard the aircraft against possible ground damage (passenger aircraft only).

Monitor readiness of various ground services providers, so as to ensure that all resources are available to meet inbound aircraft. Ensures that all available resources are used to the optimum, whilst observing the critical path or Precision Timing Schedules for the various engagement times of the numerous service providers and other internal departments involved in the aircraft turnaround.

Interacts with the Captain, Purser, Ground Engineer, Caterers, Cleaners, Cargo, Baggage and Loading staff, so as to ensure that any potential problems which may effect the turnaround time, are highlighted to the appropriate individuals. Makes adjustments to the turnaround schedule wherever necessary, in order to protect the integrity of the flight departure time.

Encourages all staff resources to work towards an on-time departure and monitors the activity times of all operational resources and services providers. Records those engagement times, so that when delays occur, accurate delay reason(s) are published.

Experience:
Must have experience in an airline ground services or ground handling environment.
The job holder MUST hold a valid UAE driving licence.
The job holder will need to be fluent in written and spoken English.
The ideal candidate would have a good working knowledge of customs and immigration rules/regulations, safety and security regulations etc.
PC literate and competent with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
